Myra Kingston is a Master of Science student in the J. Mike Walker ’66 Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M in May of 2025/ During her undergraduate degree, Myra briefly interned with the Bristol Composites Institute in the U.K., where she discovered an interest in composite materials. Now in the HVIL, Myra intends to further her understanding of composite material behaviors under high strain rate and impact, particularly for hypersonic applications.
